What windshield PPF costs and why
Pricing depends on windshield size and curvature — a flat sedan windshield uses less film and less labor than a large, heavily raked SUV or truck screen. Compare it against a single OEM windshield replacement with recalibration and the math usually favors the film, especially on vehicles where glass is expensive or back-ordered.
Install time and care
Installation takes 2–3 hours. Avoid car washes and don't run the wipers dry for the first 48 hours while the film settles. After that, care for it exactly like glass — normal washing, normal wipers, normal washer fluid.
What it does and doesn't stop
The film absorbs and spreads impact from gravel and highway debris, preventing most rock chips and star breaks. It is not bulletproof: a large rock at freeway speed can still crack the glass underneath. What it reliably prevents is the everyday chipping that turns into a full replacement.
Sensors, HUD, and replacement
