FAQ

Windshield Protection Film Questions

What is windshield protection film (PPF)?

Windshield PPF is an optically clear, ultra-durable urethane film applied over your factory windshield. It absorbs impact from rocks and debris, reducing chips and cracks while remaining virtually invisible.

How long does windshield protection film last?

Professionally installed windshield PPF typically lasts 2–3 years in Arizona conditions before it needs to be replaced, depending on driving frequency and sun exposure. It won't yellow or haze during its service life.

Will PPF affect my rain sensor, HUD, or ADAS cameras?

No. Our films are optically clear and installed with precise cutouts around cameras and sensors, so rain sensors, heads-up display, and ADAS forward-facing systems continue to work correctly.

Is windshield PPF worth it for a luxury or exotic vehicle?

Yes. OEM windshields on Porsche, Tesla, BMW, Mercedes, and exotic vehicles can cost thousands to replace and require ADAS recalibration. PPF protects that investment for a fraction of a single replacement.

Can you install PPF on a newly replaced windshield?

Absolutely — and it's the ideal time. We recommend waiting 48–72 hours after replacement for the urethane adhesive to fully cure before applying protection film.
